Why Has MLB Ignored Bill Hohn Incident?

I don’t mean to harp on this but come on! If you missed one of the most bizarre moments in baseball between an umpire and a player, please view this fist pump between the Florida Marlins catcher and Umpire Bill Hohn after Brian McCann stuck out in a game filled with ejections.

Now, please tell me how this is escaping punishment? As Ray, the chief blogger here, pointed out the day it happened, this is unheard of in baseball. When have we ever seen something like this before?

Major League Baseball’s Bud Selig refuses to address the issue and we’re not going to let it die. How about a petition and a letter directly to his office? I want him at least suspended for 2 weeks and he shouldn’t be allowed to ump in the playoffs, especially–ESPECIALLY–if the Atlanta Braves do come back and make it into the playoffs. Skip Bayliss thinks they will (that doesn’t give me a ton of hope though.)

When an umpire shows favoritism, the game is jeopardized. The integrity of the game is cracked. There are questions to be answered and I am sick here as it is ignored.
