Braves Recall Gregor Blanco

The Braves put Outfielder Brent Clevlen on the Disabled List with a sprained toe and recalled Gregor Blanco from Triple A Gwinnett.
This will be Blanco’s first taste of Major League action this season and he has batted .294 with 1 homer and 10 RBI’s at Gwinnett. Blanco can play any of the outfield positions and will give Bobby Cox another option in Center Field if the need should arise.
Blanco spent the entire 2008 season with the Braves on the strength of a outstanding World Baseball Classic Performance. He batted .254 in 144 games played. He only saw action in 24 games in Atlanta last season losing out on the Center Field battle to Jordan Schafer.
