The plea was made all around the web and the Braves fans have answered the call. Jason Heyward jumped from 5th place all the way to second and is now only about 9000 votes behind the leader Ryan Braun. Although Heyward has been slumping, he is no doubt created a stir all over Major League Baseball.
The Braves as a whole saw some jumps in voting returns. Brian McCann made a similar jump to Heyward and is now 2nd behind Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina. Marin Prado is now also second but trails Chase Utley by a wide margin of votes.
It may also be time to start talking up first baseman Troy Glaus as an All Star. He now is tied with for the National League lead in RBI’s.
