Per Carroll Rogers AJC:

"Chipper Jones is meeting today with Braves manager Bobby Cox and general manager Frank Wren to discuss his future with the organization and plans to address the media afterward, likely to announce his retirement at the end of the 2010 season, a source close to Jones said Tuesday morning."

If he does in fact retire then he will close the book on one of the greatest careers of any Braves player ever. Jones has been a staple and will no doubt be more appreciated after he is gone. Currently he is battling a troublesome finger problem that may have him headed to the disabled list.

Will have more details as they come available as Chipper is expected to address the media some time today.
