Two Braves Prospects Selected for Major League Futures All Star Game

Braves pitching prospects Julio Teheran and Mike Minor were both selected to play in the XM Futures Game on July 11th during All Star Weekend. Teheran who is regarded as one of the top pitching prospects not just in the Braves organization but in all of the minors will pitch for the World Team. Mike Minor is the Braves first round pick from the 2009 draft and will pick for the US team.

Teheran is currently at the Braves high Single A club Myrtle Beach after starting the season at Rome. He has a combined record of 5-3 with a minuscule 1.26 ERA. He has struck out 94 batters in only 78 innings while issuing only 17 walks.

Mike Minor is currently pitching at Double A Mississippi. He has a 2-6 record with a 4.16 ERA on the year. He has racked up 101 strikeouts in 80 innings pitched while walking 33. Minor was drafted in the first round out of Vanderbilt in the 2009 draft.
