The Brandon Beachy feel good story continues as he was sparkling in his starting debut for Gwinnett. Wes Timmons and Joe Thurston provided the big hits in this one with home runs in the third and seventh innings which propelled Gwinnett to victory. Craig Kimbrel came on to record his 15th save of the season in the ninth.

Julio Teheran and Tyrelle Harris combined to No Hit Mobile. Teheran bounced back from a rocky Double A debut and Harris pitched three and a third of no hit ball in his debut for the Mississippi ball club. Eric Duncan‘s first inning home run was enough offense for the Braves but Luis Bolivar added an RBI single for good measure.

The Good pitching trend continues as Brett DeVall threw a complete game at Rome against Savannah. DeVall evened his record at 7-7 and lowered his ERA to 3.62. Joe Leonard stayed hot with the Bat for Rome and Riaan Spanjer-Furstenburg hit his 2nd home run of the season.
