Nate McLouth led off the game with a home run which is his 4th at Gwinnett. Scott Diamond pitched well, the Braves just couldn’t mount any offense. Toledo pitching held Gwinnett to 4 hits on the night.

Tyler Pastonicky had two doubles and raised his average to .228 since coming over from the Blue Jays organization. Eric Duncan also had a double but the Mississippi Braves couldn’t find that key hit with men on. Cody Johnson struck out twice to lower his average to an even .200 on the season.

The Pelicans scored early and often while routing Kinston 12-2. The Pelicans banged out 13 hits to go with their 12 runs.

Joe Leonard stayed hot and Christian Bethancourt had his second consecutive three hit game leading Rome to a 7-4 victory. Rome scored four times in the opening two innings and never looked back. Edward Salcedo continues to struggle with his average dipping to .209.

Matt Lipka had two hits and Cory Brownstein added a home run as the GCL Braves came up with a victory over the GCL Phillies. Dan Winnie got the start and pitched 5 innings while only allowing 1 hit. Victor Cadette and Carlos Franco each had two hits apiece.
