New Braves First Baseman Derrek Lee left Saturday Night’s blow out win over the Marlins with a mild side strain. Carroll Rogers reports that he will likely miss Sunday’s game against the Marlins as well.
Bobby Cox had this to say:
“I don’t think it’s too bad,” Cox said. ” We had a six-run lead at the time. We all know six runs sometimes dissipates quickly but it was a good time for him to go ahead and get it treated and take the night off and maybe tomorrow.”
Hopefully this is something that is not related to his recent bout with back troubles and he will be back in the lineup on Monday.
