What to Watch:
The Braves putting this thing away. Tommy Hanson will surpass 200 innings in this start, so he is probably gassed, but you can’t tell from his performances lately. After six shutout innings on two hits against the Phillies, he most recently allowed one run in 7.2 innings to the Mets. Hanson has pitched well against the Phillies in five career starts, and they will rely on another one today. The Phillies will send Vance Worley to the hill, who has appeared in eight innings and one start this year. The one start was September 6 against the Marlins, where he allowed two runs in five innings. Don’t expect more than a few innings for Worley and the bullpen the rest of the way, which should be the case tomorrow as well. It is a good opportunity for the Braves.
