Hello everyone,

As one of the newest members of the FanSided family, I’ve been asked to pass along to everyone here at Tomahawk Take some great news about a great charity effort this holiday season. The FanSided network has partnered up with Site5 (our dynamite web hosting company partner) on a seasonal charity drive to raise money for a great cause — the Boys and Girls Club of America. What better cause could there be to support than a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children, especially one that focuses on sports as a way of reaching those kids?

This Holiday season, we here at the FanSided family are thankful for our growing network, our great hosting company (Site5) and, most of all, how fortunate we are. That’s why our family is giving back and asking you and your family to help us do so. Our goal is $5,000, and every bit helps — even a donation of $5 or $10.

Should Moylan Be Counted On?

As was pointed out here at Tomahawk Take, the Braves now must look at the last two major areas of concern for 2011, the bullpen and the bench. There seems to be universal agreement that the arsenal of young power arms that the Braves will take to battle needs a calming veteran presence. Since there’s no Billy Wagner around, the question is who should fill that role. An obvious candidate is Peter Moylan, but is he a good candidate?

You Might Be a Thankful Braves Fan If…

On behalf of Tomahawk Take and the entire Fansided network, please let me add my own Thanksgiving wishes to each and every one of you. And, as Patrik noted, a special call out goes to those in the Armed Services here and abroad. I for one am most thankful for the sacrifices you make so that my family and I can enjoy the freedom that’s so easy to take for granted.

I initially was going to write one of those traditional posts about what I was most thankful for, then I thought that everyone might be getting a bit tired of those. I decided to take a little more lighthearted approach and compile a list of things that the Braves family might be thankful for, should they happen. And you might be a Braves fan if you think you might be happy about these, too. So, without further adieu and in no particular order, I present my list:
