Quoting sources close to the situation, TomahawkTake News reported today on developments from Billy Wagner’s farm in rural West Virginia:

Early this morning, Billy was seen gazing out a window of his farmhouse. His wife asked what he was doing. Billy replied, “I’m watching the grass grow”. His wife dutifully pointed out his retirement “To Do” list, with “send in retirement papers” at the top. Billy reportedly replied “Woman, would you please quit nagging me; can’t you see that I’m busy?”.

In other developments, the Braves remained mum on the issue, with the last quotes from the team being from Frank Wren, saying in essence that this was just a formality. It would appear that the Braves have no use for the 40th spot on their roster. One wonders how long it will be before the Braves decide having that roster spot would be useful. Maybe they intend to “Spot the Spot” to the rest of the division, boldly declaring that they are so much better than everyone else that they only need a 39 man roster?

Stay tuned for further developments as they occur.
