Vizcaino To The Bigs, Proctor To The Curb

Hello again everyone! I apologize for my recent absence, as I had some health issues I had to deal with. All is hopefully good now, so onward and upward!

On the Braves front, it seems the team read Fred Owen’s very effective evisceration of Scott Proctor a day or so ago. Proctor was living proof that it takes more than a 94 MPH fastball to be an effective reliever. He was bad to the point of the team having zero confidence in his abilities. As such, he was granted his unconditional release today.

Along those same lines, it seems that I was correct in predicting that Arodys Vizcaino would be on the major league roster by the end of this week. As a matter of fact, he was promoted to Atlanta for tonight’s game. Vizcaino brings a mid-90’s fastball and a strikeout curveball. Even at his age, he will be a huge improvement over Proctor.

Now the team is only one major league right handed reliever short of a bullpen! I think there is at least one more move bullpen move left. If only Peter Moylan was ready to go!
