Your Weekend Coffee Links

I spent the week doing business in Indianapolis and Louisiville. I’m definitely a bigger fan of Indianapolis. Some big things happened while I was out of town wondering why you can seemingly add bacon and cheese to any dish on an Indianapolis menu for 75 cents. Or why there seemed to be a guy in every restroom in Louisville that made me pay him a dollar to sling a paper towel over my shoulder to wipe my hands with.

I’d much rather have been in my own friendly confines writing about baseball.

-Matt Kemp signed a record deal with the Dodgers. [Los Angeles Times Dodgers Blog]

-The Houston Astros have new ownership, and they’re moving to the American League. [The Crawfish Boxes]

-Dale Sveum is the new Chicago Cubs manager. [Bleed Cubbie Blue]

-MLB owners and players already have reached a ‘handshake’ agreement on a new labor deal. [ESPN]

-Bobby Valentine is in the running for the Red Sox managerial post. [NESN]

Other than that, I’m going to spend my weekend trying to get over a monster sinus infection, reading Scott Raab’s Whore of Akron book about Lebron James, and playing the first non-sports game I’ve ever owned for the Playstation 3, Skyrim.

I’ll be checking in here to do some scribblings most likely, but everyone enjoy your weekend in the meantime.
