Opening Game Pittsburgh vs Atlanta Series

The Braves will travel north for a four game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates starting Thursday night.  The Pirates have started out this season with a 7-7 record while the Braves are 12-1.  The weather for this series looks like it may be a cold and wet one.  If you plan on going, I’d bring an umbrella.  The Pirates will see Julio Teheran on Thursday, Tim Hudson on Friday, Paul Maholm on Saturday and to finish off the series on Sunday will be Kris Medlen.  The Braves will see Jeff Locke tonight, Wandy Rodriguez Friday, Saturday will be James McDonald and Sunday Jonathan Sanchez will be on the hill for the Pirates.

Evan Gattis will get the night off tonight after going 2-19 in the last two series and Laird has caught Julio Teheran in his first couple starts.  Skipper Fredi has been doing this combination so he won’t have the rookie duo.  Chris Johnson moves to the 4 hole in hopes of continue his hot start.

This is a great weekend for B.J. Upton and Jason Heyward to get going as well as get our winning streak started back up again.
