The Braves try to regain their pride as they take on the Detriot Tigers in the second game of a three game interleague series.  Atlanta will have to take on Tigers pitcher Rick Porcello as the Braves will send Mike Minor to the mound.  Hopefully the team can put together some hits today and not 18 strikeouts as they did last night.

At least Schafer is starting and not Reed Johnson. I like R Johnson but Schafer’s been hot and should have started last night. I know I said that Uggla would be better in the 2 hole than BJ and if he walks now and then he will but really that’s Schafer’s spot. I know he’s hitting 9th to be the second leadoff man etc. but really hitting him behind Simba and in front of J-Up makes a ton more sense. But Fredi has to split up the two black holes in the lineup somehow I guess. I hope Porcello has a stinker but in today’s lineup only J-Up 1-3 with a K and BJ 0-4 with a walk have faced him. That usually spells trouble for us. His sinker hasn’t been sinking however and it’s been in the hitting zone up. if that stays the case our thunder could easily send him to an early shower and back to the bullpen in favor of Smyly in the future
