Atlanta Braves Kris Medlen Does Not Want To Pitch Out Of Bullpen
"Despite Kris Medlen the lone member of the Atlanta Braves rotation who has bullpen experience, the five year veteran wanted to make one thing clear to his team – he’s not up for being regulated to the ‘pen. Of course, despite voicing his displeasure, Medlen did say if it happened, it happened and he’d be a team player about it despite being unhappy in the role.Per the Atlanta Journal Constitution:“I’ll let it be known that I don’t want to go down there (to the bullpen),” Medlen said. “I don’t. At all. But it’s out of my hands. I mean, if it happens, obviously it happens. I’m a team player.”"
Atlanta Braves: Gattis continues clutch work for Braves
"With four pinch-hit home runs prior to Tuesday’s game, Atlanta rookie Evan Gattis is just one shy of matching the franchise record set by Butch Nieman in 1945.“You think you see everything you are going to see in the game, then someone like him comes along and does what he’s been doing,” Jason Heyward said about Gattis, who has become one of baseball’s biggest surprises this season."
