On Monday night, Chipper Jones was up to his newest employment…being a reporter. Well not really, but a friend of his Chad Durbin and his wife Crystal gave birth to a girl. A retweet from Chipper came across the twitter world around 9pm ET as Chad, 35-years-old, and his wife named their daughter Caris Grace and she weighed in at 9 Ibs, 4 ounces.
Durbin signed as a free agent on April 3, 2012 and played with the Braves for the season. He pitched well out of the bullpen as he appeared in 76 games and supported a 3.10 ERA and a 4-1 record. After the season though, the Braves let him go and he was signed by the Philadelphia Phillies before the year started.
