Whooah, We're Half Way There....

As Bon Jovi artistically wrote the lyrics to his famous Living On A Prayer song, I wonder if he ever thought his chorus lyrics would be the featured headline at Tomahawk Take.  Well, thank you Mr. Jovi because we are half way there folks…and we are living on a prayer!!

July 1st marks that three months are complete in the MLB season and so far in 2013, the Braves look sharp.  Atlanta carries a 48-34 record into July going 28-11 at home but only 20-23 on the road.  As of July 1st, they hold a 6.5 game lead over their divisional rivals, the Washington Nationals and a 9.5 over foe Philadelphia Phillies.

Two teams hold a better record than the Atlanta Braves in the NL as the Pittsburgh Pirates hold the best record in baseball (51-30) and the St. Louis Cardinals (49-32).
