How to Vote for Freddie Around the Clock

Yes, the media want Yasiel Puig in the All-Star Game. But so far, your votes for Freddie are winning! Twenty-nine hours of voting remain (“polls” close at 4pm EDT tomorrow). But today, I have a new, painless way for you to get Freddie another 348 votes: automated text messaging!
If you have an Android smartphone – and an unlimited texting plan… or else you are really dedicated – then you can use this application to schedule text messages to be automatically sent every five minutes. It’s also available via a search for ‘SMS Scheduler’ on Google Play. Set up a text to send N2 to the number 89269, set the repeat option for 5 minutes, and you’re done! If you’re on an iPhone, there are similar apps available, but as I don’t have one of those, it’s hard for me to check these out and make a recommendation to you.
Meanwhile, you can continue to use the mlb.com website directly and make an unlimited number of votes there.
Thursday – from 10am EDT until 4pm – the Twitter explosion occurs. During those hours, use the hashtag #VoteFreddie to generate additional votes.
Please carry out your assigned duties. That is all!
