Jordan Schafer

Jordan Schafer is all set to begin his rehab stint on Saturday with the Gwinnett Braves.  The G-Braves will travel up to Durham for a 7:05pm start.  In the past week, I’ve seen Schafer dodge a foul ball in the dugout and sprint out to Andrelton Simmons after his walk off triple and he looked like he was just fine.

Schafer was supposedly with the team last night but he was just there to work out and will start the assignment tonight.

Jordan Schafer running the bases a lot more aggressively than the last few days. Just went home to third and made it look easy.

#Braves Schafer burning up the bases from 1st to 3rd. Looks even faster from the dugout than the press box

Schafer has missed a month recovering from a stress fracture after fouling a ball off his right ankle.  Gonzalez said Schafer would probably play in three or four rehab games.

B.J. Upton

In his finale game of a three-game rehab assignment B.J. Upton went 1-for-5 with a double and three strikeouts.  Playing in front of a crowd of 8,369 at Coolray Field, Upton couldn’t impress his/Braves loyal fans in his final game with Gwinnett.

In his three game appearances B.J. went 4-12 with three doubles, two RBIs and four strikeouts.  He did not try to steal any bases.

It’s been reported that Upton will be called back up to the Braves today and be in the lineup against the Philadelphia Phillies at 4:05pm in Philly.

Just Throwing This Out There

That’s 8 wins in a row for the Bravos! Lets make it 9 tomorrow

Congrats @C_Johnson28! That’s quite a feat. U stand beside Hank Aaron. That speaks for itself!
