Atlanta Braves Freddie Freeman Gets Engaged

January isn’t usually a busy month for MLB players – they are usually enjoying their last offseason days and beginning workouts but Freddie Freeman has been in the news lately this weekend.

On Friday the Braves announced that they will take young stars Craig Kimbrel, Jason Heyward and Freeman to arbitration hearings.  Freeman will be going to the hearings after asking for $5.75M and Braves offered $4.5M.  Before the hears were complete, Freeman had been projected at about $4.9M

Then Saturday, Buster Olney of ESPN said that “Freeman is the team’s best hitter, Heyward is improving, but Justin Upton is the linchpin guy.”

Now Sunday, Freeman proclaimed to the world on Twitter that he popped the famous question to Chelsea Goff and she said yes.
