In the middle of one of the worst traffic jams Atlanta has ever seen, Atlanta Braves first basemen Freddie Freeman was stuck. Cars were struck on the highway like a parking lot for hours on end. Many busses were on this highway with kids in them as well as people running out of gas in the middle of the road.
He wasn’t the only one though….check this photo of the traffic….AND THIS WAS TAKEN THIS MORNING!!

The evening was awful and I hope everyone is safe and sound this morning.
A couple other Braves mention on Twitter about the traffic situation.
Just drove around Atlanta for the past 8 hours looking for@Phil_the_Bucket and trying to find a safe way home, can I get an update on him?

After 6 hours I finally made it home. Hope everyone makes it home safe.
Fredi G. was among the thousands who had a horrific trip yesterday. His 12-hour trek from Turner Field to his Cobb Co. home ended at 3:30 am

People everywhere stranded on 280 walking to shelters. One of the craziest things I’ve ever seen. http://t.co/f9iH63nbZA DOES THIS HAPPEN?!

Crazy weather here right now. Y’all be safe. Heard that traffic is something fierce.

This is absolutely brutal….and has very little to do with the weather

One person was retrieved from an ex-teammate, Freddie! He was home safe after 11 hours of being stranded. Guess who saved him?
You guessed it…Chipper Jones
