The Boston Beaneaters’ Billy Hamilton had a career batting average that was a .339 AVG.  He had 3207 at bats from 1896 to 1901.  In his six seasons in Boston, he had a slash line of .339/.456/.413.  The 5’6″ 165 lb ball player also plae yed for the Philadelphia Phillies and Kansas City Cowboys.  He won the batting tittle in 1891 with Kansas City and had the highest batting average in the league in 1891 and 1893.
