Atlanta Braves, Teammates On The Field, Companions Off The Field

Throughout the offseason we saw mentions on Twitter about Atlanta Braves teammates gathering away from the field.  Now, days into Spring Training we’re seeing the same.

Am I complaining?

Absolutely not….

I’m always a firm believer that if teammates can be friends away from the field, they gain the trust they need on the field.  A special bond is created when you get to know a person outside of your daily job.

You try to find patterns or justifications to how things like this work out.  One Braves’ player that continues to be centerfold is Freddie Freeman.

One asks who is the Atlanta Braves leader?

I think you have to put this on Mr. Freeman for his ability to lead by action on the field and than be a guy who everyone seems to want to hang around outside of baseball.

Tonight, the guys take on a very popular and competitive game of Mario Kart….I think I can take all of them with Luigi on a motorcycle!
