Just a reminder that the greatest living ballplayer resides in Atlanta

I try to remember to repost this every year because it’s pretty much the coolest stat line in baseball history.

Hank Aaron would have passed 3,000 hits even if he had never hit a home run. Pick any star who ever played the game and give him 180 additional homers andAaron still would have more total bases.

Atlanta Braves’ 5 Most Criticized Players of Spring Training

The Atlanta Braves entered last season with high expectations as they made a few key off-season moves, and they were poised to make a run at the World Series. The season did not end in a championship, but it was not a failure either. The Braves won their first National League Eastern Division title since 2005. Braves Opening Day: You Ready?

The Atlanta Braves will be kicking off the 2014 season in Milwaukee and the home opener is not far behind on April 8 against the New York Mets.  Tickets are going fast for the home opener, so if you haven’t bought yours yet, now is the time to make the purchase while the good deals are still there.  Our sponsor, Front Row Seats, has some great ticket options available, so check them out.

Is it just me or has it been a long winter?  We not only had the two big storms in Atlanta, what has made it a lousy winter, is there weren’t many of those 60 and 70 degree days sprinkled in during January and February to help keep one’s sanity.  Of course I shouldn’t complain, the midwest and northeast have been hammered this winter with record snowfalls and brutal temperatures.  But I like to complain, so the hell with the midwest and northeast.

What are you looking forward to seeing and experiencing at Turner Field?  What have you missed since last season?

Alan Harrison’s 10 Bold-ish Fantasy Predictions for 2014

2. Jason Heyward and Justin Upton will combine to go 50/25

I tried this last year, but injuries and B.J. Upton happened to my Braves’ outfield prediction. Steamer projects 43/19 for these two in twenty-fourteen, but I think a comeback season for Jason Heyward parlayed with 25/10 season from Justin Upton can make this thing happen.
