The Boston Red Sox travel to the Spring Training home of the Atlanta Braves today, Champion’s Stadium, to take on our beloved team at 1:05 PM EST.  We’re having another Live Thread during the game to discuss the game itself of course, but also recent news, injuries, plans for 2014, and whatever else crosses our singularly, focused minds!

Probables to take the mound today showcase a lefty-righty matchup, as the Atlanta Braves plan to have LHP Alex Wood take the bump, while the Sox will start RHP John Lackey.  As we always say, it’s just Spring, and all pitchers are getting stretched out.  That said, in two starts, Lackey has been eaten up for a whopping 9.39 ERA so far.  The Braves shouldn’t expect a walk in the park from Lackey though, who is coming off a 2013 season where he posted a 3.52 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP with a 10-13 record.  Wood has been very good as well, and Braves’ fans hope he continues to show good command as we enter the 2014 season.

A great deal has happened this Spring season for the Atlanta Braves.  Some of it has been good, while most of it has been news of the dreaded variety.  The Braves aren’t slowing down though, and we could still see a trade or two before the season starts.  Join us in our Live Thread below, and share with us your thoughts about the game, and the 2014 season.
