The Houston Astros travel to the Spring Training home of the Atlanta Bravestoday, Champion’s Stadium, to take on our Bravos at 6:05 PM EDT. We’re having another Live Thread during the game to discuss the game itself of course, but also the recent news of Freddy Garcia, player movements, injuries, and some possible rumors!
Taking the mound for the Braves today is RHP David Hale, the likely #3 starter to open the season, while the Astros will start Dallas Keuchel. Keuchel has pitched to a 4.85 ERA in 13 Spring Training innings thus far, while Hale sports a 5.11 ERA in 12.1 innings. While the sample size is very small, it would be very encouraging to see David Hale post a good outing today, as we will need him to start for a while.
