There are slumps, there are struggles, and there are being completely lost…..and THEN there is B.J. Upton.

Upton had his worst career season last year with a slash line of .184/.268/.289 including 151 strikeouts.  The Braves continued to play the 29-year-old because of the contract he was given in the offseason.  But that was 2013, this is a brand new season….right??

Well, that’s everyone’s thoughts and hopes but could he change things around?

So far in 2014, his line is .138/.138/.172 with 13 strikeouts in 29 plate appearances.  Laughable, huh?

Every site talks about how bad he’s been when wearing the Braves uniform so this isn’t another one of those.  This post is on Tomahawk Take because one of our most loved Braves player, Chipper Jones has sought out to help B.J.

Thanks to an Instagram post from Grant McAuley we see Chipper trying to give a few tips to Upton prior to batting practice today.

From other tweets, Chipper has been with B.J. since around 1:30pm going over his swing to try and improve from this Braves offense

We’ll see if Chipper helped B.J. at all here shortly as the first pitch is schedule for 7:10pm Eastern against the New York Mets.

PS: B.J. is back in the lineup after a night off and is hitting 2nd again….
