Atlanta Braves outfielder wore prescription glasses to help improve his eyesight at the plate.  This brings up a major question for all Braves fans…will this help?

Over the last couple years, Braves players have had two major issues – eyesight and Tommy John surgeries.  It’s a glaring issue that seems to only be effecting the Braves….must be something in the water.

B.J. Upton went on the off day on Thursday to pick up some lenses to begin wearing when hitting.  Reported by Mark Bowman of MLB.com, Upton has been told he should wear glasses while driving at night dating back to his high-school days.

“I noticed a difference [in my vision] over last year and some of this year,” Upton said. “It wasn’t anything big. But I think it was enough for me to not really pick up spin on the ball. So I just figured we should try something.”

Upton went 1-4 in Thursday’s game BUT only had one strikeout!!  A definite improvement at the dish.

We will get to see more action with him sporting the glasses on Saturday at 7:10pm at the Ted.
