Get Out Your Brooms Braves!

The Atlanta Braves will be looking to wrap up the current series with the visiting Cincinnati Reds today, and wrap it up with a three-game sweep in Atlanta.

The Reds has some offensive prowess, but their pitchers have struggled.  Of course that’s not the only reason the Braves have won the first two games.  Timely hitting when it was most needed by the Braves, and well-above average defense!  We’ll need to keep that up today against a tough pitcher in Johnny Cueto.

You’ll think me strange, but every time I hear about Cueto, I think of Kuato, the weird mutant character from Arnold Schwarzenegger’s movie, Total Recall!  Hopefully it will be total recall for the Braves, as the last time the team faced Cueto for any length was on May 15, 2012, where the Braves beat him up for 8 hits and 6 runs over a short 4 innings.  That was back when we had players like Michael Bourn, Martin Prado (who I really miss), and Brian McCann (who we had replaced very well).
