Last night Gavin Floyd tossed his final rehab assignment for Gwinnett throwing 77 pitches in five innings of work. This afternoon the Braves told Carroll Rogers that if a side session on Friday went well, he’d be added to the roster on Sunday. However , no one seems willing to say who leaves for Gwinnett.  Even though Alex Wood had a bad night Tuesday and Aaron Harang hasn’t been as sharp tonight it’s unlikely either will be sent to the bullpen to make room for Floyd. Fredi Gonzalez told the AJC that there was no innings limit set for Wood.

“I’m not even thinking about it,” Gonzalez said. “If it was obvious in September, we could talk about it a little more. That’s not even on the horizon.”

Floyd has enough service time to refuse assignment so he must be added to the major league roster. I still believe he’ll be added to the bullpen and Hale sent down unless an injury issue arises. I guess we’ll find out on Sunday.
