Atlanta Braves “I Would Never Use Frustrated But….”
By Jeff Schafer
The Atlanta Braves haven’t won a game since April 27th!!!
For seven days, we haven’t had that winning feeling inside when closing our eyes for the days end.

April 29th – Marlins 9-0
April 30th – Marlins 9-3
May 1st – Marlins 5-4
May 2nd – Giants 2-1
May 3rd – Giants 3-1
May 4th – Giants 4-1
Stats leaving Sunday’s defeat for the past six games…
Jason Heyward – 9/29, 3 Run, 0 HR, 1 RBI, 1 SB
B.J. Upton – 5/22, 2 Run, 1 HR, 4 RBI, 3 SB
Freddie Freeman – 3/28, 0 Run, 0 HR, 2 RBI
Justin Upton – 5/23, 1 Run, 1 HR, 2 RBI, 1 SB
Evan Gattis – 2/21, 1 Run, 1 HR, 1 RBI
Dan Uggla – 2/18, 0 Run, 0 HR, 0 RBI
Andrelton Simmons – 3/20, 1 Run, 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0 SB
Chris Johnson – 5/22, 0 Run, 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0 SB
Obviously, those stats are frustrating to look at. This team is a lot more talented than these games have shown. Granted we’ve seen some good pitching, the Braves should be producing more than one run a game.
“This is the first time since I’ve been over here that we’ve experienced anything like this,” Chris Johnson said after Sunday’s game. “I think it will tell a lot about our ballclub to see how we respond and bounce back from something like this.”
Bouncing back. I agree with these comments, it’s May 4th and the Braves still have five more months of regular season baseball to play.
“We’ve been kind of struggling for runs but I think this team is capable of scoring a lot more runs….just be patient,” Gerald Laird said.
Braves take on the Cardinals on Monday at Turner Field. Projected starters for this series are….
TBD vs Gavin Floyd
TBD vs Mike Minor
