1. Jordan Schafer Is A Little Unhappy

As reported by David O’Brien, Schafer is disliking his playing time in Atlanta.  32 games down and Jordan has only 20 plate appearances and only three starts.

Though not hitting astronomically, Schafer seems to have big play ability.  He seems like a spark that the Braves need and personally, I think he should be in the starting lineup.  Sure, we’ve covered the contract and the price tags on B.J. Upton and Jason Heyward and how they are playing no matter the slump but I’m on the other fence about this.

Schafer supposedly went to Manager Fredi Gonzalez to speak about his frustrations.

“I told him, hey, you’re in a tough situation,” Gonzalez said. “You’ve got Jason, you’ve got B.J. who’s swinging and playing pretty good, and you’ve got Justin, who’s swinging. He was kind of reserved about coming in, because he told me in Miami, ‘I need to talk to you.’ That was like 10 days ago. I said, ‘It took you this long to get the courage to come in?’
