Tomahawk Take Editor Notes:  The Braves offense showed up on Sunday afternoon as the Braves put seven runs on the board with four home runs.  Julio Teheran had another great performance to help the Braves win the series.  The Braves take on the struggling Boston Red Sox on Monday afternoon…so cook some burgers and remember why we are celebrating this day.

Teheran, Gattis help Braves rout Rockies via shutout

Mandatory Credit: Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

Tomahawk Take Editor Notes: Evan Gattis homered twice on Sunday to help the Atlanta Braves win 7-0.  Gattis drove in three runs as well as the two home runs, giving him 10 for the 2014 season.  Julio Teheran went six scoreless innings and picked up the win.  Chris Johnson and Justin Upton both added long balls to help the Braves win.

Gattis missed four games with viral symptoms. He returned with no hits and a walk in Saturday’s 3-1 loss to the Rockies before hitting a homer in the second and a two-run shot in the fourth off Franklin Morales (3-4) on Sunday.

”I’ve got my strength back – or lucky,” Gattis said.

Upton’s two-run blast

Tomahawk Take Editor Notes:  Upton’s blasted a two run home run to left field to give the Braves a 5-0 lead against the Colorado Rockies in Sunday’s game.  It looked like a mistake pitch and Justin made him pay for it.  Braves win the series 2-1.
