Atlanta Braves: Happy Birthday To A Braves Pitcher

facebooktwitterreddit

Today, May 28th, we celebrate the young and very talented relief pitcher – Mr. Craig Kimbrel.  The flame-thrower will turn 26-years-old today and has now been in a Braves uniform since May 7, 2010.

Kimbrel has made three NL All-Star teams during his four year career (not counting 2014) and almost won the Cy Young Award last season.  He is the quickest relief pitcher to pick up 150 saves in his career.

The stats just continue to mount for this guy as I could type them out for days.

His career ERA to date is 1.43 in 250 game appearance with a WHIP of 0.908 and has 417 strikeouts in 245.2 innings pitched.  On the ugly (which isn’t that ugly) he’s walked only 89 hitters in his career and has allowed only 43 runs to cross the plate.

Hopefully Craig can enjoy the day by picking up a save in Fenway Park later tonight against the Boston Red Sox.

Happy Birthday Craig Kimbrel and many many more….(wearing a Braves uniform and dominating hitters)!!
