Atlanta Braves: Justin Upton Leaves Game

The home versus away split stats for Justin Upton has been covered by many over the past few months.  He’s been on fire at home but on the road he can’t find his swing.  Well, his road woes just got worse on Tuesday night as he left the game with a strain left hamstring.

Something obviously we do not need as Braves fans.

Justin probably sustained the strain when he ran out his infield single in the 1st inning.  Upton hit a liner back to the pitcher, Juan Nicaslo, that deflected off his glove and JUP was able to reach base safely.

He stayed in the game and later scored when Tommy La Stella singled but did not come out of the dugout after the inning completed.

Jordan Schafer has replaced Justin in left field.

Right now, the report on Upton is that he’s day-to-day.
