Atlanta Braves: Trade Rumors Are Heating Up

facebooktwitterreddit

The Atlanta Braves searched all winter months for starting pitching.  The shots were coming from everywhere….Braves NEED more starting pitching!!

Well, what they brought to the table during the 2014 Spring Training was a plethora of pitchers who seemed to be all thrown into a bucket and the top five win a position.

Starting pitchers going into ST that had a shot at the rotation, in no order…Julio Teheran, Alex Wood, Mike Minor, Gavin Floyd, Aaron Harang, David Hale, Ervin Santana.

Injuries here and there, Braves Manager Fredi Gonzalez was able to manage the rotation but now there is an overload of pitching.

Wood is in the minors getting his arm stretched out to eventually regain a starting spot after relieving part of the 2014 season.  Floyd, Harang and Santana have all been great surprises for the team.  Minor has had some question marks but he stays put.  Teheran has dominated and Hale is in relief.

The Braves have issues with their lineup and bullpen and are currently looking to make a move.

Front office decisions are in the works as media folks are looking for any indications for possibilities.

Jon Morosi of Fox Sports 1 and MLB Network tweeted out today that teams have shown interest in starting pitchers Floyd and Harang.

Though he gives no indication of the teams that showed the interest, the chance of one of these pitchers being moved are probably increasing.
