POLL: If You’re Filling Out The Atlanta Braves Lineup….

Fredi Gonzalez has the job of filling out the lineup card that will be turned into MLB official scoring but you have the job right now to fill out your lineup.

This has to be one of the most criticized aspects of Fredi’s job day in and day out for the past few years.  I encourage his creativity with the lineup…ex) Jason Heyward batting leadoff, pitcher batting 8th in the lineup…but winning ball games isn’t about being creative.  You’ve got to find the right guys for the right spots.

Now, Fredi has inserted Tommy La Stella into the leadoff spot…the 25-year-old with only 88 plate appearances (as off 6/21) and only had 74 plate appearances prior to being inserted into the leadoff spot.  Many thought TLS would be hitting 2nd in the lineup but currently Fredi has him #1 and moved Heyward down to 5th in hopes of getting him a few more RBI chances.

Justin Upton hasn’t been in the lineup since La Stella took over the leadoff spot so this may change once he’s ready to play again.  Or it may make the lineup card even tougher to fill out for Fredi.

Given everyone is healthy and in the lineup, fill out your lineup card for June 21, 2014 against the Washington Nationals.

what so johnson grounds into a DP whenever heyward singles?

      • Cellin Neptune

That would be the downside yes… Or johnson hits a double and scores heyward in the first inning.. or pokes it to right and moves heyward to third before getting to the middle of our order.. the average would play out more often in this way

  • Cellin Neptune

Fire Fredi G.. He sucks, needs some regularity with the lineup so players get accustomed to their role.. This shuffle bullshit has gone on too long..
