Happy Birthday To An Atlanta Braves Star

Happy birthday to Atlanta Braves right fielder Jason Heyward.  Jason turns 25-years-old today (August 9th).

This is JHey’s fifth season in the MLB and is having a successful season so far.  He’s batting a slash line of .271/.357/.395 in 2014.

During his rookie season in 2010, Heyward hit a home run on his birthday.  In the four seasons, he’s only played on his birthday twice.  He went 2-4 with a double in 2013, an off-day in 2012, in 2011 he didn’t start but Heyward came in during the 11th inning and didn’t have an at-bat, and in 2010 Jason went 1-3 with the homer.

JHey has heated up again this season after the All-Star break and we’re hoping he continues being effective  at the plate heading into August and September.  The Braves are currently 59-56 after the victory Friday night in Atlanta and are 3.5 games back from the Nats.

The Braves send Aaron Harang to the mound on Heyward’s birthday and they will face Washington’s Tanner Roark.

Below is Jason’s career statistics for Heyward.  Happy Birthday JHEY!!
