The Atlanta Braves outfielder, Justin Upton, has left Tuesday nights game with a bruised left triceps.

The 26-year-old is having a terrific season for the Braves with a slash line of .286/.358/.516 with 26 homers and 91 RBIs.  Upton’s name has been thrown around in NL MVP talks.

Injuries have popped up here and there for the young star in 2014 and now we can include a triceps injury.  He was hit by a pitch in the first inning of Tuesday’s game.  He remained in the game but then left in the top of the sixth inning and was replaced by Ryan Doumit…smart move Fredi.

Justin left the game 0-1 with a hit by pitch.

“Justin got hit on his first at-bat and it kept getting stiff on him so we decided to get treatment on him right away,” Fredi Gonzalez said after the game.

Upton is currently considered day-to-day but to see him on a short turn-around game would be surprising.
