Atlanta Braves rookie second basemen, Tommy La Stella, is enjoying his time wearing a Braves uniform these days but as a child, did he foresee this day coming?
The 25-year-old is enjoying a decent first season in Atlanta with a slash line of .265/.340/.334 with 15 doubles, 30 RBIs, 21 runs and 32 walks. La Stella is currently “splitting” time with Philip Gosselin…I say that because Fredi Gonzalez won’t attempt he’s splitting time with these guys.
Tommy came into the season as one of the top Braves prospects while playing for the Gwinnett Braves and was called up to Atlanta on May 28th. He has appeared in 81 games for the Atlanta Braves in 2014.
One of Tommy’s buddies, Shae Simmons, has helped us out a little and published an old photo of Tommy when he was a kid.
Tommy as a kid….
