Newest Atlanta Braves Player Gets Creative…
By Jeff Schafer
The Atlanta Braves have signed pitcher/outfielder/infielder Justin Jackson to a minor league deal on Saturday. Yes, another small move for the Braves as they continue to work on their minor league squads.
Jackson was a standout baseball player at TC Roberson in North Carolina. A school where our 1st round draft pick, Braxton Davidson, played. Davidson was the Braves 32rd selection in the 2014 MLB draft.
After high school, Jackson was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays with the 45th overall pick in the 2007 draft. He has played with the Blue Jays organizations for the past seven years. Jackson has played infield and outfield before converting to the pitcher position in 2013. He went 4-3 with a 4.66 ERA, 45 strikeouts and a save in 58 innings pitched.
As I mentioned before, this is yet again a minuscule move for the Braves but what caught my eye was how he informed his fans.
Jackson went to Instagram and actually got creative his “announcement”
