Jason Heyward Traded To the Cardinals For Shelby Miller

In a very surprising Monday morning, the Atlanta Braves have traded away their star outfielder Jason Heyward to the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Braves trade Heyward and relief pitcher Jordan Walden to the Cardinals in exchange for starting pitcher Shelby Miller and Tyrell Jenkins.

I’m in a state of shock right now. For one, if they kept Heyward I think we could of gotten a lot more for him later or even at the All-Star break. At first glance, I’m not liking this at all especially trading his to a team that has knocked us out of the playoffs so many times.
The 24-year-old starting pitcher, Miller started 31 games in 2014 going 10-9 with a 3.74 ERA and 1.273 WHIP. In 2013, he had a great year going 15-9 with a 3.06 ERA in 31 starts. He seems like a really good young pitcher with room to improve and hopefully excel in a Braves uniform.
Jenkins is a 22-year-old right-handed pitcher. He was drafted 50th overall in the 2010 draft by the Cardinals out of high school. He hasn’t pitched above A+ yet but was a top prospect for the Cards. He went 6-5 with a 3.28 ERA in 2014.
