The 2014 offseason has been hectic for the Atlanta Braves organization and their fan base but one thing we know for sure….Freddie Freeman will be the Braves first baseman in 2015.

That’s always reassuring to hear because the Braves shipped away fan favorite, outfielder and Gold Glover Jason Heyward and one of the best young power hitters in the game, Justin Upton, in the past two months.  Braves new President of Baseball Operations, John Hart, had a few objectives this winter…starting pitching, second base, bullpen and relief pitching.

The 25-year-old first baseman signed an eight year $135 million dollar deal with the Braves last offseason.  Freeman played in all 162 games in 2014 and has made the All-Star game the past two seasons.

I was able to do a phone interview with Freddie Freeman to talk about a few personal items, his jersey number, teammates, his famous long sleeves and Ace Brand baseball cards.

“I teamed up with Ace Little League and what they are doing right now is being able to make your own digital baseball card”, Freeman explained to me.  “And I think that’s pretty cool…when I was in the little league and watching all the big leaguers have their own baseball cards, I was collecting them…now Ace is giving you the chance to make your own.  It’s a great way to get kids more excited about baseball cards.  Just go to Ace Brand’s Facebook page or their website at myaceallstars.acebrandsports.com and it gives you the opportunity to make your own baseball card.”
