Looking Towards The Future, Who Should We Be Excited About

The Atlanta Braves have been busy this 2014-2015 offseason to say the least.  New man in charge, John Hart, has cleaned out the stars of last seasons team but has added young pitching and many top prospects.

Atlanta had one of the MLB’s worst minor league system over the past few years and Hart claimed to fix that.  This offseason the Braves traded well known names such as – Jason Heyward, Justin Upton, Jordan Walden, David Carpenter, Chasen Shreve, Evan Gattis.

There’s nothing we can do about that now…how about we look towards the future.

Here is a breakdown of who the Braves received in return for these players

Heyward and Walden – Pitchers Shelby Miller and Tyrell Jenkins

Justin Upton – Left handed pitcher Max Fried, shortstop Jace Peterson, third baseman Dustin Peterson, and outfielder Mallex Smith

Carpenter and Shreve – Left handed pitcher Manny Banuelos

Evan Gattis – third baseman Rio Ruiz and right handed pitchers Michael Foltynewicz and Andrew Thurman

So where do we go from here?

Hart has claimed as recently as last Thursday that the Braves will not be an embarrassment in 2015 and put a quality team on the field.  With the “readjustments” to this team, fans can definitely argue that statement as we sit here today.

With the new SunTrust stadium being currently built for the Braves and the team moving into the entertainment facility in 2017, Hart and friends could be placing all their chips in the basket for that year and beyond.

I want your opinion…out of the players the Braves received for our past stars, which combo of players are you most excited about?
