2015 Fantasy Baseball Announcement

You’ve been waiting since the announcement of the fantasy rankings, wondering what the crew at Tomahawk Take be up to…what is this big announcement?

Last season, you may remember that the staff of Tomahawk Take took part in a fantasy league to be able to pair fantasy sports with our “real” sports writing.  The season ended up very fun to relate our successes in that league, especially as the Braves’ successes tended to dry up on the field.

This year, we at Tomahawk Take would like to join in with you, the reader in a fantasy endeavor.  Check that, we’d like to partake in multiple endeavors with our readers.

What do you need to do?

Take some time to review the following websites and get familiar with their games (maybe do some mock drafts as well if possible):

ESPN Fantasy Baseball
Yahoo Fantasy Baseball
Draftkings Fantasy Baseball
Fanduel Fantasy Baseball

We at Tomahawk Take will be starting at least one league on each site for our readers, and we would like you to be part of it!

Please take the time to review each site and see which you like best, though certainly participating on one site does not exclude you from the others!

Then once you decide that you are interested in a league, contact me at gopherben@gmail.com, and I will set you up into that league.  There will be multiple posts coming throughout the spring as we set up the leagues, especially once ESPN and Yahoo open their registration and we can begin filling leagues.  For now, we’re collecting a list of those interested to be emailed with an invitation once a league is formed.

Now, for the big kicker:

There will be prizes!!

Tomahawk Take’s writing staff is working on securing prizes for the season.  These aren’t a prize on the level of a pink eraser with the Braves logo on it, either.  We’re talking tickets, memorabilia, and possibly even cold, hard cash!  The exact details on the prizes are still being worked out, and they will largely be contingent on how much interest there is in a league.  So, take the time and review the sites to see what’s most your style, and then email me.  I will not promise I’ll be on Gchat 24/7 to answer any and all questions, but I certainly will respond to emails in a (hopefully) timely fashion.  Please do ask any clarifying questions you do have, though, either directly via email or in the comments on this post.

Consider this our thank you to you for being a reader here at Tomahawk Take and a way that we can connect with each and every one of you in a way to enhance our mutual love for the game of baseball and the Atlanta Braves!
