We’re Going To Disney! Atlanta Braves Early Arrivals
By Jeff Schafer
The report date to the Orlando, Florida training facility for the Atlanta Braves pitchers and catchers is February 20th. For the rest of the squad, it’s February 25th. Most of the time players do not wait until these dates to arrive at Spring Training and 2015 is no different.
After this insane offseason of trades, signings and whatever else the Braves did, we’re finally getting back to the ball field. John Hart and the rest of Atlanta’s front office traded away fan favorites Jason Heyward, Evan Gattis and Justin Upton this past offseason – leaving the Braves looking for a new identity.

For a few years now, a huge question heading into the season was “who’s the Braves leader”? Now, it’s more evident…the man that has risen to the top is our first basemen
Freddie Freeman.
To show is leadership qualities, Freeman has arrived to Disney over a week ahead of his scheduled time in and three days prior to pitchers and catchers reporting. Along with Freeman, Chris Johnson and Christian Bethancourt joined many other Braves’ to Spring Training already…reported by Kevin McAlpin.
Though you may be down on the 2015 Braves lineup, lets not write them off just yet. New hitting coach Kevin Seitzer has his work cut out for him but he promises to make things better in Atlanta.
It’s an exciting time to be a baseball fan as we are days away from players officially reporting and getting back on the field…March 4th is the Braves first Spring Training game. Fans will have lots to pay attention to in the next two months as the fifth starter position is open, second base and bench spots. These battles will be closely monitored by us and hopefully you can as well.
