Braves’ Radio Contest

Yesterday, esteemed Braves’ Radio Network man Jim Powell tweeted a contest to begin the year – a very interesting one, as we here at TomahawkTake have been wrestling with the same subject:  most recently here, here, and here.

The contest sounds simple.  The prize is excellent:

The rest of the rules (also available via twitter) are as follows:

  • All of this points to the 25-man roster on Opening Day 2015 – Monday, April 6th in Miami (game time 4:10pm EDT).
  • 1 (one) entry per person.  If you send in multiple entries, you are disqualified… that’s you, not just the extra entries.
  • That entry deadline is Noon Eastern time next Saturday (Feb 28) via RadioBooth@Braves.com.
  • Tie-breaker 1: Closest guesses to Opening Day lineup, defined as correct player at correct position and correct spot in the batting order.
  • Tie-breaker 2: Closest guesses on the pitching staff.
  • Tie-breaker 3: Closest guesses on the position player list.
  • Tie-breaker 4: Coin flips – presumably with some dingy old quarter in Don Sutton’s pocket.

(and just for the record – his tweets are the official last words on the rules!)   Sounds like a good test – would love to see one of our readers win this.

The only question I have now is this one:  will Twitterless Don ever find out about what Jim is up to?
