Is Atlanta Braves Closer Craig Kimbrel The True Bane?

The Actor that played Bane in The Dark Knight Rises, Tom Hardy, better watch out – if Christopher Nolan or any other director decides to bring back Bane to the Batman series, they should give Craig Kimbrel a call.

The Atlanta Braves closer decided to do a little pump-up speech to starting pitcher Alex Wood on Wednesday morning prior to Wood taking the mound against the Cardinals.  Wood posted a picture of Kimbrel after the speech occurred…wearing a mask

Kimbrel made his debut appearance of the spring on Tuesday going one inning, giving up one hit and one walk.

This will be Wood’s second appearance this spring – his first start, he lasted two innings giving up two runs on two hits and gave up one homer.  He’ll look for a better outing on Wednesday versus the St. Louis Cardinals.

Kimbrel later tweeted out that he received the mask from Jim Johnson and it’s a Elevation Army mask that is used for training.

Johnson must be passing these around the locker room office because Braves prospect Cody Martin tweeted out about his new training mask.

From the Elevation Army website they describe these masks as…Elevation Training Mask mimics the effects of High Altitude Training. When elite athletes want to improve their performance they go to high altitude levels to train. When they come back to sea level they perform much stronger, faster, and have increased endurance.

So what do you think…who pulls it off better?  Craig Kimbrel or Tom Hardy?
