Atlanta Braves Make Three Great Plays On Saturday

The Atlanta Braves took on the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday afternoon in Dunedin, Florida and won 5-3.  Alex Wood started on the mound for the Braves giving up seven hits and three runs .  Also pitching was Craig Kimbrel who went one inning, giving up zero hits and two strikeouts.  What was more impressive than Kimbrel on Saturday was the defense behind the pitching staff.

Eric Young Jr made two great plays in centerfield and Andrelton Simmons made a tremendous over the shoulder catch.

Is there any play Simmons can’t make?

Take a look at this play as he shoots out of his shortstop position and sprints to left field.

The 25-year-old just continues to impress. With a NL Platinum Glove award and two Gold Gloves awards, Simmons should continue to rake in the trophies.

Also making a great play on Saturday was Braves newcomer Eric Young Jr.

Young, who came into the 2015 Spring Training season competing for the centerfield job, pretty much has it locked down by now.

We are now only eight days away from the 2015 Opening Day!
